Joe Fortune and the ACMA block list
ACMA, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, lists 18 Joe Fortune domains on its blocked gambling websites list, marked “Last updated: 20 July 2026” (read 12 October 2026). Eleven carry the brand name with different endings; seven use two longer names that add “pokies”. One of the eleven is the domain named on the licence certificate.
On 12 October the casino ran on another domain, which was not on that edition of the list. We do not publish it or link to it. The site opened from our Australian connection, a Melbourne data-centre address. ACMA says it asks internet service providers to block access to the websites on its list; our one-day check from a data-centre address does not show what a home connection sees.
The site addresses Australians. It served AUD as the only published currency, a +61 phone prefix and a four-digit postcode field. Its terms list no excluded countries and leave the law to the player: “Mate, please be a grown up! You are solely responsible for checking the laws regarding the use of internet-based casino gaming in the jurisdiction in which you reside.” (§2.3). What ACMA’s list means for players: online casinos and Australian law.
Operator and licence: two CGA records disagree
The footer of every page names Ridley Media N.V., a Curaçao company, no. 140544, and Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) licence OGL/2024/676/0726. It names the company as operator of one specific brand domain, which is on ACMA’s list.
The certificate page linked from the footer seal reads: “The license was granted on 14/07/2025 and its current status is Active” (12 October 2026). It certifies that same listed domain, not the one the casino now runs on.
The CGA’s own register disagrees. Its edition “Last updated October 9, 2026”, read on 12 October, lists the licence for Ridley Media N.V. as issued 14 January 2026, expiring 14 July 2026, status “Assessment in progress”. By the register, the expiry date had passed almost three months before our check. Neither record ties the licence to the domain in use.
Joe Fortune withdrawal time and limits
A withdrawal passes two stages: approval, then transfer. The home-page FAQ says crypto requests are “usually approved within 24 hours and other methods take about 24-48 hours”. After approval, the limits page gives up to 24 hours for Bitcoin and one hour for other coins; the FAQ gives 5–10 business days by wire and 4–7 by cheque courier.
The home page promises crypto withdrawals “within one hour”. That figure leaves out approval: on the operator’s own figures a Bitcoin payout usually takes up to 48 hours, other coins up to 25 hours (our arithmetic). How payout stages compare across casinos: withdrawal times.
| Method | Minimum withdrawal | Maximum withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| Wire transfer | $500 | $9,500 |
| Cheque by courier | $20 | $3,000 |
| MatchPay | $10 | $2,000 |
| Bitcoin | $100 | $10,000 |
| Ethereum, USDT | $60 | $10,000 |
| Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin Lightning | $10 | $10,000 (Lightning: $25,000 a day) |
Crypto withdrawals are limited to one every three days. The terms and help pages state no weekly or monthly cap, so the per-method maximum is the only ceiling we found.
- Crypto fees: crypto withdrawals are “always free”, but if a deposit has not been wagered in full, they face “a 10% deduction or cancellation” at the casino’s discretion.
- Visa Debit: the first withdrawal each month is free, then $50 for each one after. Visa Debit is not in the limits tables, so we cannot confirm it is offered.
- Wire and cheque: one free withdrawal a month; the fees page gives no figure for the next. A stop payment on a lost cheque “may” cost $40.
- Deposit fees: the casino may “recover any fees we covered on deposits” if “little or no play is made” before a withdrawal (§4.6).
- Verification (KYC, the casino’s identity checks): withdrawals are subject to checks that can include proof of address and government ID (§4.8). The help page says verification typically takes up to 48 hours.
- Dormant accounts: after 18 months without activity, “the Account balances are zeroed out” (§3.7).
Deposits and PayID
PayID is not confirmed. The cashier is shown only after login, and we did not open an account. PayID, Osko and POLi appear in none of the 22 pages we captured on 12 October 2026. Why we mark PayID as not confirmed until a cashier shows it.
The help pages name cards and crypto. The limits page lists Visa, Mastercard and China UnionPay at $20 to $1,500, MatchPay at $10 to $2,000. Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Ethereum, USDT and Bitcoin Lightning go up to $5,000, or $10,000 by Lightning. The page adds that deposit limits “may differ per account”.
Amounts are printed in dollars; the account currency served to our connection was AUD. The casino charges no deposit fee, though a card provider may. The home-page FAQ gives different crypto figures; this review goes by the dedicated limits page. The fees page also mentions Flexepin, which the limits tables do not list.
Bonus terms and free spins
The welcome package spreads over five deposits of at least $30, each matched 100% by card or 150% by crypto up to $1,000. Deposit plus bonus must be wagered 50 times (“50X playthrough”). A $1,000 card deposit with a $1,000 bonus therefore means $100,000 in bets before withdrawal (our arithmetic). We publish no codes.
Spins come with the deposits: 50, 50, 100, 100 and 150. For a card, the package terms give no spins on the second deposit, while the table on the same page shows 50; this review goes by the terms. Spins run on 5 Times Vegas, 10 Times Vegas, Lucky Dragon Year or Wicked Ways, and their cash-out is capped at $500.
- How to claim: through the My Rewards dashboard, with no code; only for players who have not yet made a first deposit.
- Phone check: new players must validate a mobile number before any bonus (§3.4).
- Not stated: a maximum bet while wagering and the package’s expiry; a general help page says some bonuses lapse after 28 days. We did not capture the game-weighting chart.
The weekly Free Spins Bonanza gives 100 spins for a crypto deposit or 30 for a card deposit of $30 or more, once a week. It needs a promo code, which we do not publish. Spins are worth $0.20 each on Crystals on Fire; wagering is 30 times deposit plus bonus, and cash-outs stop at $500.
We saw no no-deposit spins on the promotions page. Unless an offer’s own terms say otherwise, the general terms cap winnings from a no-deposit bonus under $100 at $125 (§4.9). How spin offers are priced: free spins bonuses.
Games and providers
Joe Fortune publishes no studio list. Its public game feed returned 61 games under a single aggregator code on 12 October 2026, so we name no studios. Lobby titles include Gates of Olympus 1000, Big Bass Bonanza 1000 and Crystals on Fire. The site’s own game counts differ between its banner and home-page text, so we give no total.
Platform and sister casinos
Our casino sister sites guide places Joe Fortune and Ignition in the Bodog group. Our research notes (4 October 2026) also link Bovada, Bodog, Slots.lv and Café Casino to the group; the operator does not confirm this. We use no figures from those brands here.
Support is by live chat, which the casino says runs 24/7, and by e-mail (12 October 2026). We did not test it.
Pros and cons
What is written down
- Operator, company number and licence number in the footer.
- Minimum and maximum withdrawals per method, and transfer times after approval, on the help pages.
- Withdrawal fees by method, including the $50 Visa Debit fee after the first monthly withdrawal.
- Welcome wagering, eligible games and the $500 spin cap stated.
- Daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits and self-exclusion; the responsible gaming page names Gambling Help Online.
What should give you pause
- 18 brand domains on ACMA’s blocked list.
- The CGA certificate says “Active”; the CGA register shows expiry on 14 July 2026 and “Assessment in progress”. The certificate covers a different, listed domain.
- No weekly or monthly withdrawal cap stated.
- The “within one hour” crypto claim leaves out approval, which the FAQ puts at “usually” up to 24 hours.
- Crypto withdrawals can lose 10% if a deposit was not wagered in full.
- Balances are zeroed after 18 months of inactivity.
- The welcome table and its terms disagree on spins for the second card deposit; maximum bet and expiry not stated.
- PayID not confirmed; studios not published.
How we checked
On 12 October 2026 (06:15–06:30 UTC) we rendered Joe Fortune’s home page, terms, help pages, promotions and responsible gaming page in a browser, 22 pages in all. We used an Australian data-centre connection in Melbourne.
We followed the redirects of brand domains from that connection and from a German server, and read the site configuration and game feed. We opened the CGA certificate from the footer and read the CGA register edition of 9 October 2026 and the ACMA list. We did not create an account, deposit or withdraw.
Score: 5.5 out of 10 on our published rubric, which counts only what the casino commits to in writing. 4.5 to start, +0.75 because the operator paragraph, printed on every page including the terms, names both the company (Ridley Media N.V.) and a regulator (the Curaçao Gaming Authority; the point is for what is written, and the register’s disagreement stays a fact above, not a score item), +0.5 for written processing times (approval “usually” within 24 hours for crypto and about 24–48 hours for other methods, then up to 24 hours for Bitcoin), +0.25 for written minimum withdrawals (per method, from $10), −0.5 for the 10% deduction a crypto withdrawal can face when a deposit was not wagered in full = 5.5. Not earned: a weekly cap of A$7,000 or more and a monthly cap (neither is stated; only per-method maximums); progressive jackpot wins outside the caps (not stated); PayID seen in the cashier. Amounts in “$” are counted at face value as A$. The ACMA listing and bonus size do not change the score.
Is Joe Fortune Casino legit?
The records disagree, so we draw no conclusion. The footer names Ridley Media N.V. (Curaçao, no. 140544) and CGA licence OGL/2024/676/0726. The certificate linked from the footer says “Active”; the CGA register of 9 October 2026 shows “Expires 14-Jul-26” and “Assessment in progress”. The certificate covers a brand domain on ACMA’s list, which holds 18 Joe Fortune domains (last updated 20 July 2026). What ACMA says the law means: online casinos and Australian law.
Does Joe Fortune offer free spins?
Yes, with deposits (12 October 2026). The welcome package adds spins to five deposits of $30 or more, except the second card deposit under its terms; wagering is 50 times deposit plus bonus, and spin cash-outs are capped at $500. The weekly Free Spins Bonanza gives 100 spins for crypto or 30 for card deposits, at 30 times wagering. We saw no no-deposit spins.
What are Joe Fortune’s sister sites?
Our casino sister sites guide places Joe Fortune and Ignition in the Bodog group. Our research notes (4 October 2026) also link Bovada, Bodog, Slots.lv and Café Casino; the operator does not confirm this. Each brand is checked on its own page.
Responsible gambling and the law
Joe Fortune’s responsible gaming page offers deposit and session limits and self-exclusion, including permanent exclusion, and refers players to Gambling Help Online (12 October 2026). We did not test these tools.
In ACMA’s words, the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 “makes it illegal for gambling providers to offer some online services to people in Australia”, and ACMA’s list of banned services includes “online casinos” (read 12 October 2026; what the law means for players).
