How a round of craps runs
A round starts with the come-out roll. A Pass bet wins on 7 or 11 and loses on 2, 3 or 12. Any other total (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) becomes the point. The dice are then rolled until the point comes again (Pass wins) or a 7 comes first (Pass loses). Every other bet on the table is a side bet on part of this sequence.
Don't Pass is the opposite bet. It wins on 2 or 3 at the come-out and loses on 7 or 11. A 12 at the come-out is a tie, called a push: your stake comes back. After a point is set, Don't Pass wins if a 7 comes before the point.
Come and Don't Come are the same two bets, made after the come-out. On a computer (RNG) table, each roll is drawn by a random-number generator, software that stands in for the dice. These are the standard rules; we did not read the rules screen of any casino's table.

Two dice give 36 equally likely combinations. Every price on the table follows from these counts.

The 7 is the most common total, so it wins the come-out and ends the point. A point of 6 or 8 comes again before a 7 in 5 cases of 11 (45.45%). A point of 5 or 9 does so in 4 of 10 (40%), and 4 or 10 in 3 of 9 (33.33%). Sic bo, the other dice game, uses three dice and a single roll.
Which bets are cheap and which cost more
House edge is the casino's average cut of each bet, in per cent: at 1.41%, A$100 staked on Pass loses A$1.41 on average over many rounds. The last column shows how many times a bet costs more than Pass. The centre of the table here means the hardways, Any Craps and Any Seven.

The line bets, their free odds and Place 6 or 8 all cost 1.52% or less. Buy 4 or 10 joins them at 1.67% only if the commission comes off a win. The centre of the table costs 6.4 to 11.8 times Pass. Between the two groups sit Place 5 or 9 (×2.8), the Field (×3.9), Place 4 or 10 (×4.7) and Big 6 or 8 (×6.4).
These prices hold only at the payouts shown. We did not read the payouts of any casino's craps table, so check its rules screen: a Field that pays 3:1 on 12 costs half as much. How house edge compares across games is on our house edge page.
Free odds: the bet with no house edge
Once a point is set, a Pass bettor may add a second bet next to it, called free odds. It pays at the true chance of the point coming before a 7: 2:1 on 4 or 10, 3:2 on 5 or 9, 6:5 on 6 or 8. Because the payout matches the chance, its house edge is 0%.
Odds lower the edge on all the money you stake together. Pass with single odds (equal to the Pass bet) costs 0.85%, with double odds (twice the Pass bet) 0.61%, with 3-4-5× odds 0.37% and with 10× odds 0.18%. “3-4-5×” means up to 3 times the Pass bet on 4 or 10, 4 times on 5 or 9 and 5 times on 6 or 8.
In dollars, odds change nothing: they carry no edge, so the expected loss stays that of the Pass bet. What grows is the money on the table. For each A$1 on Pass, a decision has A$1.67 in play on average with single odds, A$2.33 with double and A$3.78 with 3-4-5×. Larger stakes mean larger swings.
We did not read the maximum odds of any casino's table. Nucleus's craps game has a Pass Line Odds bet, but the game files leave its limit blank. Look for it in the table's rules screen.
Which casinos have a craps table from Australia
On 23 October 2026 we searched the game list of each of the 23 casinos below for “craps”, from an Australian connection, without logging in. 11 had a craps game; at 12 we found none. A game in the list shows what the site offers that connection. It does not prove the table opens for an Australian account.

Order: casinos where we found craps, then those where we did not. It is not a ranking. “Not found” means a search of the game list for “craps” returned no game; a table under another name would not show.

RNG and live craps
None of the 11 tables we found is listed as a live-dealer game: the 7 from Nucleus and Realtime Gaming are computer (RNG) tables, and the other 4 do not name a studio.
King Billy, CasinoChan, PlayAmo and Woo list Nucleus Gaming's “Craps”, which Nucleus describes as a “Traditional Craps Game”, released in August 2017. Lucky Tiger, Shazam and Rich Palms list Realtime Gaming's “Craps”. Casino Mate, King Johnnie and Wolf Winner list a “Craps” under the platform label “The Originals”, and Ignition does not name its studio.
No live-dealer craps table showed in any of the 23 game lists from Australia that day; why, we do not know. We also found no Craps Pro, Craps Privee or First Person Craps, and no craps from Pragmatic Play or BGaming. To check your own casino, search “craps” in its game list and open the table's rules screen before you bet.
Can you play craps with bonus money?
At the 11 casinos where we found a table, mostly not: three forbid it, and eight do not say how craps counts.
- Not allowed (3). Lucky Tiger, Shazam and Rich Palms list Craps in clause 22.7 among games that “cannot be played with bonus funds” (general terms, 23 October 2026).
- Not named (8). King Billy's bonus terms say “Live games, table games, video poker games contribute 5% towards the wagering requirements.” They do not say whether craps counts as a table game. The contribution tables of CasinoChan, PlayAmo and Woo name only Baccarat, Blackjack and Hi-Lo as table games, at 5%. The general terms of Casino Mate, King Johnnie, Wolf Winner and Ignition have no rule on craps (20 October 2026).
- Where we found no table. Fair Go and Ozwin say in their free-bonus clause that wagering on craps “will not count towards this wagering requirement”; Ozwin adds “unless specifically stated”. Casinonic, Dundee Slots, Queen Spins, Ricky and Spinago put “Craps” on their bonus exclusion lists (see the table).
Where the rule is not named, do not count on 5% or on 0%: ask support before you play craps on a bonus.
King Billy's clause 1.6 also caps every bet at “7.5 AUD” (A$7.50) while a bonus is active; that is a limit on all games, not a craps rule. We read the general and bonus terms only, so a single promotion can say otherwise. How game contribution works is explained in our bonus terms guide.
What an hour of craps costs
This is an example, not a measurement: A$10 a bet and 100 rolls an hour, a pace we assumed. A Pass bet is settled every 3.38 rolls on average, so 100 rolls give about 29.6 decisions. At 1.41% that costs A$4.19 an hour on average. With double odds the cost stays A$4.19, while the money in play per decision rises to A$23.33 on average.
The same A$10 on the Field every roll costs A$55.56 an hour; on Any Seven, A$166.67.

An RNG table moves as fast as you click, so your own pace sets the hour. The figures are averages; one session can end well above or below them. We did not read the minimum bet of any casino's table.
Do systems or dice control work?
No betting system changes the house edge. Every bet in the price table costs 0% or more, so any mix of them costs 0% or more too; a system changes how results are spread, not the average. Martingale, doubling the stake after each loss, runs into the table's maximum bet, which the casino sets and we did not read.
Dice control has no meaning online: an RNG table has no dice to throw. We have not checked any testing or certification of these craps tables.
Is online craps legal in Australia?
Online for real money, no provider may offer it to people in Australia. Section 15(1) of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it an offence if a person “intentionally provides a prohibited interactive gambling service” and “the service has an Australian-customer link”.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), the regulator, lists “online casinos” among banned services. Its list of illegal online services includes “casino-style games (like poker, blackjack and roulette)”; in our reading, online craps falls under both.
ACMA warns about such services: “You might be able to access them, but they will not give you the same customer protection as a licensed service.” It adds that regulators will not be able to help you if “the service provider withholds your winnings”.
On the 2026 changes to the Act, ACMA says that “Most of the reforms commence on 1 January 2027”; we have not checked what changes for craps then. The law in more detail: online casino law in Australia.

What is the best bet in craps?
Don't Pass at 1.36% and Pass at 1.41%, with free odds behind either at 0%. With double odds the edge on all the money staked falls to 0.61%, with 3-4-5× odds to 0.37%. Place 6 or 8 costs 1.52%.
What is the worst bet in craps?
Any Seven at 16.67%, 11.8 times the price of Pass. Hardways and Any Craps cost 9.09% to 11.11%, and the Field 5.56% where 2 and 12 pay 2:1.
Where can I play online craps from Australia?

On 23 October 2026, 11:27–11:53 UTC, we read the game list each casino's site sent to a connection in Melbourne, without logging in, and searched it for “craps”. At 11 casinos whose site has a search filter, a second search for “roulette” confirmed the filter worked; the other lobbies were read in full, and Ignition from its visible Table Games page. For comparison those 11 lists were read from a server in Germany, where 10 of them also showed Evolution's live “Craps”. Bonus terms of King Billy, CasinoChan, PlayAmo, Woo, Golden Crown, BitStarz, Dundee Slots, Casinonic, Queen Spins, Ricky and Spinago and general terms of Lucky Tiger, Shazam, Rich Palms, Fair Go and Ozwin were read on 23 October 2026; general terms of Casino Mate, King Johnnie, Wolf Winner, Jackpot Jill, Ignition, PlayCroco and Grand Rush on 20 October 2026. House edges are exact fractions for two fair dice, cross-checked against Wizard of Odds. Hour costs are arithmetic with an assumed pace, not measurements.
