Three days on top: how one player twice won a hundred thousand and twice gave it back to the pokie

1. Three days on top

On the evening of 17 May 2024 the player's account held a hundred and forty thousand Australian dollars. On the morning of the same day: five hundred.

One spin decided everything. At 17:09, on the pokie Elvis Frog in Vegas, a A$75 bet came back as A$78,225, more than a thousand times over. Within the next five minutes the machine delivered two more big hits. The balance passed a hundred thousand, then a hundred and thirty, then settled at 140,664. It was the highest peak in four and a half years of history.

Three days later the account showed ten cents.

2. Eighty dollars and a frog

It all started modestly. On 24 April 2022 a welcome bonus of A$80, a bet of a dollar fifty on that same "Elvis". The fourth spin brought a hundred, the tenth almost two hundred. The balance quadrupled. By the end of the evening 20 cents were left.

This scenario, a sharp climb and a complete wipe-out, would become his signature. It would repeat hundreds of times; only the sums would grow.

3. How the appetite grows

4. The spring of big multipliers

Spring 2024 is the densest chapter. The machines seemed to be competing over who could pay more: 52,750 and 53,100 in March, 54,250 in April. Each time on a bet of A$40–50, each time a multiplier over a thousand. And each time tens of thousands dissolved within one or two sessions.

On 10 May it all began with a A$350 bonus for a daily race. By evening Elvis Frog in Vegas had paid A$79,950 on a A$75 bet, the largest win in the whole history. The day closed with sixty-eight thousand in the account.

Twice in ten days, a six-figure balance. Both times it went back where it came from. Over the week the player withdrew about A$23,650 in total; the rest stayed in play.

5. What the system shows

There is no trick in the choice of games. Of 59 titles, four (15 Dragon Pearls, two "Elvis" games and Dragon Pearls) account for three quarters of all bets. Elvis Frog in Vegas produced all the largest wins and, at the same time, the biggest loss: 310 thousand.

The real system is in the bet size, and it is simple: the more money in the account, the bigger the bet. A win is not kept; it fuels turnover.

At the same time the player does not react to losses at all. The bet after a losing spin and after a winning one is practically the same: A$27.6 and A$27.7. No doubling to chase losses, no caution after a win.

Deposits are small and endless: around four thousand of them, with a median of A$250. On 9 May 2024, thirty-six deposits in a single day.

Does it work? Within a single day, sometimes stunningly. Over the distance, the result for four years is minus 1.2 million dollars. Thousand-times multipliers really did happen. But with A$75 bets and seven to ten thousand spins a day, every one of them burned away within a few hours.

6. Fading out

From 2025 the story gets quieter. A quarter as many bets, and the average bet falls to twenty. In February came the last loud episode: A$51,900 on "Elvis" and two withdrawals in a row, about 31 thousand. In April 2026, an echo of May 2024: on the 24th the balance climbs to seventy thousand, on the 27th it is zero again.

The last entry is 22 September 2026. Twelve bets on 15 Dragon Pearls: first a dollar each, then fifty cents, then twenty-five. Seventeen cents in the account. That is where the table ends.

How it was calculated. The table holds 853,447 bets by one player in AUD, with no duplicates. Player result = payouts − stakes (the Profit column in the export is the operator's profit).
