Wolf Gold (Pragmatic Play): Slot Review

Updated 18 October 2026 · 7 min read · 18+ · How this site is funded

Wolf Gold is a 2017 Pragmatic Play slot with 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 lines, its game page gave an RTP of 96.01% on 17 October 2026, and its Money Respin feature holds three jackpots, the top one the 1,000x Mega Jackpot.

Key facts

  • Studio: Pragmatic Play. The game dates from 2017, according to a Pragmatic press release of 1 September 2022.
  • Grid of 15 positions, 25 lines in the demo settings; free spins and a Money Respin feature with three fixed jackpots (studio page and demo, checked 17 October 2026).
  • RTP on the studio page: 96.01%. Pragmatic’s demo is set to 96.00. A casino may run a different version.
  • ACMA says the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 “makes it illegal for gambling providers to offer some online services to people in Australia”, and lists online casinos among the banned services.

How Wolf Gold plays

The Wolf Gold pokie pays on lines across a grid of 5 reels and 3 rows. Pragmatic Play’s game page refers to the 15 positions of the grid. The game settings of Pragmatic’s demo, which we read on 17 October 2026, give 25 lines, 3 rows and 5 reels.

Three scatter symbols start five free spins. During them, in Pragmatic’s words, “reels 2-4 combine into one giant symbol”, so the three middle reels show one large symbol. Three more scatters add three spins, and the page says there are “no limits on the number of retriggers”.

Six or more money symbols in the base game start the Money Respin with three respins. Only money symbols stay on the reels, and each new one resets the count to three. When the respins run out, every visible money symbol pays its value; the page puts cash values at up to 100x. The feature can also start during free spins.

Wolf Gold jackpots

Wolf Gold has three jackpots, and in the demo settings all three are fixed amounts, not a growing pot. Pragmatic’s page names one: if all 15 positions are filled when the respins end, “the Mega Jackpot worth 1,000x is also won”.

By our reading of the demo settings, the other two are 30x and 100x the bet. The demo lists jackpots of 750, 2,500 and 25,000 coins at a 25-coin bet, and the 1,000x figure matches the studio page. Two reviews (PokerNews, Gamesville, 17 October 2026) call the three jackpots Mini, Major and Mega; the studio page names only the Mega Jackpot.

In our reading of the demo, the multiples apply to the total bet: at a total bet of A$1, 1,000x is A$1,000.

Wolf Gold RTP and volatility

Pragmatic’s game page gives Wolf Gold an RTP of 96.01%, the same figure on 11 and 17 October 2026. Return to player (RTP) is the share of all stakes a game is designed to pay back over a very long run. At 96.01%, that is A$96.01 for every A$100 staked over the long run, not a promise for any one session.

The demo is set to 96.00, on both 11 and 17 October, so the demo and the page already differ by 0.01. The page lists no other RTP versions. The figure that applies to you is in the game’s info screen at the casino, so check it there; our online pokies guide explains how to read that screen.

Pragmatic does not publish a volatility rating for Wolf Gold, and reviews disagree. Volatility describes how wins are spread: a higher-volatility game pays less often, in larger amounts. Gamesville’s table says low while its text says medium (17 October 2026), OLBG said medium (11 October 2026), and PokerNews says medium to high (17 October 2026).

The studio page gives no maximum win and no bet range. The review figures we saw for these do not come from Pragmatic, so we do not print them.

Wolf Gold versions

We found five games with the name on Pragmatic’s site: the original, three other games with their own pages, and one known only from a press release. The table uses Pragmatic’s pages and news, checked on 17 October 2026.

The jackpot names Mini, Minor, Major, Grand and Power belong to Ultimate and PowerJackpot, not to the original Wolf Gold.

Ultimate states the highest multiple. Its game page says its “Mini, Minor, Major and Grand jackpots can award 5,000x max wins”, against 1,000x for the original’s Mega Jackpot.

PowerJackpot works differently. Pragmatic’s press release of 1 September 2022 called it “Pragmatic Play’s first global progressive jackpot game”. We found no English game page for it on Pragmatic’s site on 17 October 2026, so we have no RTP for it.

Wolf Gold demo

Pragmatic’s game page embeds a free demo of Wolf Gold from the studio’s own demo server, and it opened from an Australian connection on 17 October 2026. Free play starts with 100,000 play credits, so nothing is won or lost.

The demo’s RTP setting is 96.00, against 96.01% on the page, and a casino’s version may differ again. The studio site states that “Pragmatic Play content is intended for persons 18 years or older”. We read the demo’s settings and did not play rounds. Our free pokies guide explains what demos show and what they do not.

Wolf Gold apps

The “Wolf Gold Slots” app in Australia’s App Store is not Pragmatic’s game. Its listing, read on 17 October 2026, names Great World Games, Inc. as the developer. It describes “a wolf themed, 5x4 Video Slot Game” with “up to 1024 ways to pay”, while Pragmatic’s Wolf Gold has 3 rows and 25 lines.

The app is free with in-app purchases of credits. Australia’s store rates it R 18+ and lists frequent simulated gambling. Its version 1.0 is dated 13 November 2016.

A search of the Australian App Store for “wolf gold” and “pragmatic play” on 17 October 2026 found no app published by Pragmatic. Not finding one does not prove none exists, and we did not check Google Play. We do not link the app.

Where we saw Wolf Gold

From an Australian connection on 17 October 2026, one of the ten casino lobbies we checked listed Wolf Gold: Bizzo. Its game search returned Wolf Gold, Wolf Gold 4 Pack, Wolf Gold Ultimate and Wolf Gold 1 000 000, the lobby name of the Scratchcard.

Eight casinos on the Novatrix platform (listed in our game providers guide) returned neither Wolf Gold nor Pragmatic Play from Australia, and the studio list of BitStarz (49 studios) did not include Pragmatic. From a connection in Germany the same day, all eight Novatrix lobbies and Bizzo listed Wolf Gold.

All these casinos are offshore and not licensed in Australia. We read the lists without an account and did not open the game, so a name in a list does not prove Wolf Gold is offered to Australian accounts. The 98.8% on Bizzo’s tile is the casino’s own lobby figure, not the 96.01% on Pragmatic’s page. We list no bonus offers here.

Wolf Gold and Wolf Treasure

Wolf Treasure is a different pokie, not a version of Wolf Gold. Two games carry that name, one attributed by game catalogues to IGTech and the other from Onlyplay. Our Wolf Treasure page covers both. In a lobby, the studio name on the tile or in the info screen tells the games apart.

Offering it is not. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) says the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 “makes it illegal for gambling providers to offer some online services to people in Australia”, and lists online casinos among the banned services. We read the page, last updated 21 August 2026, on 17 October 2026. In our reading, any casino that offers Wolf Gold for real money to people in Australia is not licensed in Australia.

The law is changing. ACMA says Parliament passed the Interactive Gambling Amendment (Gambling Reform) Bill 2026 on 19 August 2026, and that “Most of the reforms commence on 1 January 2027.” Our guide to the law on real-money online casinos covers the detail.

Wolf Gold FAQ

What is the RTP of Wolf Gold?

96.01%, according to Pragmatic Play’s game page, checked 17 October 2026. Pragmatic’s demo is set to 96.00, so check the game’s info screen at the casino for the version it runs.

How many paylines does Wolf Gold have?

25, according to the game settings of Pragmatic’s demo, read on 17 October 2026, on a grid of 5 reels and 3 rows. The studio page refers to the grid’s 15 positions but does not state the number of lines.

Does Wolf Gold have a jackpot?

Yes, three fixed jackpots in the Money Respin feature. Pragmatic’s page names the Mega Jackpot, worth 1,000x, for filling all 15 positions; by our reading of the demo settings, the other two are 30x and 100x the bet. Two reviews (PokerNews, Gamesville, 17 October 2026) call them Mini, Major and Mega; the studio page names only the Mega Jackpot.

Is there a Wolf Gold demo?

Yes. Pragmatic’s game page embeds a free demo from the studio’s own demo server, and it opened from an Australian connection on 17 October 2026. It uses 100,000 play credits, so nothing is won or lost.

Can I play Wolf Gold for real money in Australia?

Not through a legal service. ACMA says the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 “makes it illegal for gambling providers to offer some online services to people in Australia” and lists online casinos among the banned services, so any casino offering Wolf Gold to people in Australia for money is not licensed in Australia.
