The new More Chilli: three games with Hold & Spin
The More Chilli on Aristocrat’s Australian site today is a new game family, not the original machine. Aristocrat describes it as “one of the most recognized brands” that “is back with new characters and new gameplay featuring Hold & Spin plus Repeat Win. With 3 spicy games: Habanero Heater, Extra Spicy, Mas Pollo.”
Hold & Spin is Aristocrat’s jackpot feature, the same name used in its Lightning Link series; what Aristocrat says about it is on our Lightning Link page. Aristocrat’s pages name Repeat Win but do not explain it, so we do not describe it.
| Game | What Aristocrat’s Australian page says |
|---|---|
| Habanero Heater | Named as one of the 3 More Chilli games |
| Extra Spicy | Named as one of the 3 More Chilli games |
| Mas Pollo | “Launching exclusively on The Baron cabinet”; “Available as Link, with SAP following”; “Hold & Spin plus Repeat Win” |
Quoted from aristocratgaming.com/aus, checked 11 October 2026. A cabinet is the physical machine a game runs in. “Link” and “SAP” are Aristocrat’s terms; in the industry, SAP usually means a standalone progressive, a jackpot that grows on one machine rather than across a linked group.
The classic More Chilli machine
Aristocrat’s words “is back” confirm an earlier More Chilli, but its website now shows only the new game under the name. We found no Aristocrat source for the original’s reel layout, features or RTP, so this guide does not state them.
Where’s the Gold has gone the same way: Aristocrat’s current page for it describes a new game. Our Where’s the Gold guide covers it, and the wider catalogue is in our Aristocrat pokies guide.
Where you find it and what it returns
More Chilli is a venue game: Mas Pollo is built for a physical cabinet, and in Australia pokies are played for money in gaming venues. Aristocrat’s page names no venues, and we have not checked any venue’s floor.
Venue machines must return 85–92% of all money bet over their lifetime, according to the NSW and Queensland governments. In Victoria the minimum is 85%, calculated over a year. Aristocrat’s More Chilli pages publish no RTP of their own.
Return to player (RTP) is the share of all stakes a machine pays back as prizes over that period. At 85%, A$85 of every A$100 bet comes back on average and the machine keeps A$15; a single session can end far from that average.
Can you play it at casinos that take Australians?
Not at any we checked. On 11 October 2026 we searched five offshore casino lobbies that accept Australian players (not licensed in Australia; not recommended) by title, through an Australian internet connection, and none listed More Chilli.
Two days earlier, on 9 October 2026, the provider lists of ten such lobbies did not include Aristocrat. This is our own check, not a statement by the casinos, and lobbies change.
More Chilli online: no legal version for Australians
No real-money More Chilli can lawfully be offered to you online: ACMA says the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it illegal for gambling providers to offer some online services to people in Australia and lists “slots (pokies)” among them. Aristocrat’s Australian page presents More Chilli as a venue game and mentions no online version.
Our reading, not Aristocrat’s words: a real-money “More Chilli” at a site that accepts Australians is not an Aristocrat product we could trace. The studio named in a game’s info panel shows who made it.
Aristocrat’s page offers no free demo either, and we know of no free More Chilli we can vouch for. Free ways to play pokies are covered in our free pokies guide.
Is it legal to play More Chilli in Australia?
Online for real money, no provider may offer it to you. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) says the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 “makes it illegal for gambling providers to offer some online services to people in Australia” and lists “slots (pokies)” among illegal online services.
ACMA asks internet providers to block sites offering such services. It warns that if you use an illegal service, “Australian regulators will not be able to help you” if the provider treats you poorly or withholds your winnings, and that a blocked site may stop you logging in to your account.
Parliament passed the Interactive Gambling Amendment (Gambling Reform) Bill 2026 on 19 August 2026; ACMA says most of the reforms commence on 1 January 2027. Our guide to the law covers the details.
